A Plan for Public Lands in Millis, MA
This is a project commissioned by the Millis Conservation Commission, co-written by Josie Wakerobin (née Kaul), Emma Picardi, and Savannah Bailey. The project goal was to make recommendations for fourteen publicly-owned parcels in the town, of variable sizes, ecologies, and past uses. The scope included: historical, sociological, and ecological analyses of the town and surrounding region; the creation of a framework to guide parcel recommendations towards conservation, development, or divestiture; in-depth analyses and recommendations for each of the fourteen parcels; and town-wide recommendations for present and future land-use. Below are excerpts from the document, which totals at 144 pages; for access to the full document email josie@wakerobin.eco.
